Survey Point

Show the project Survey Point in the 3D view. Geolocate your project by assigning coordinates and a coordinate system to this survey point.

To visualize the project Survey Point, click the Survey Point visualization toggle in the right-hand toolbar.

The survey point is indicated by a disc with a North arrow (1). The survey point is the link between the project and its geographic location. It is shared data of the project, meaning it is not tied to a specific model.

In new projects this point will be located in the workspace origin (0,0,0) by default. When importing .rvt or .ifc models, the first model that was imported in this project that contains georeferencing data (e.g. IfcMapConversion) will dictate the location and coordinates of the project survey point.

The location of the survey point in the project can be modified by using the Transform tool (2). While the survey point is selected, use the Inspect Panel (3) to modify the project's Coordinate Reference System (4) and the survey point's Coordinates (5).
