# Loft

The Loft tool lets you create a new body as a smooth transition between two or more 2D profiles.&#x20;

1. Under the *Create* icon, click *Loft*
2. Click a [face or boundary](https://help.qonic.com/documentation/qonic-application/basics/navigation-and-selection/selection-modes#deep-select) you want to start the Loft operation from
3. Click a second face or boundary you want to connect with the first one
4. (optional) click additional faces or boundaries to be included in the Loft.&#x20;
5. Press Enter or left-click anywhere on the screen to accept.

When lofting more than 2 profiles, the order in which the profiles are selected matters!
