Measure

Use this tool to measure quantities of parts in your model.

  1. Select the part(s) you want to take some measurements from

  2. Click the Measure icon

  3. Choose a calculator

  4. Click Calculate

The result will be displayed, and the measured quantity will be indicated as a blue overlay over the selected parts, to provide visual feedback.

Currently the following calculators are supported:

  • Count: the number of parts selected

  • Net Area: the area of the selected parts. This works best on 'planar' geometry such as walls, slabs and roofs.

  • Gross Area: the area of the selected parts, including the area of the openings.

  • Net Volume: the volume of the selected parts.

  • Gross Volume: the volume of the selected parts, including openings in the part.

  • Length: the length of the selected parts. This works best on 'linear' geometry such as beams, columns or long walls.

Below is an example of the above calculators applied to a selection of two walls.
