# Align

1. Under *Modify*, click *Align* or use the <kbd>A</kbd> shortcut
2. (optional) Enable [Deep Select](/documentation/qonic-application/basics/navigation-and-selection/selection-modes.md#deep-select) mode if you wish to align faces or bodies instead of entire parts
3. Select the faces, bodies or parts you want to align to another face, and press Enter
4. If your selection consists of bodies or parts, select a source face. This is a face of a body being moved that you want to align with another surface.
5. Select the target face. This is a surface that you want to align your selected objects with.
