Create Assembly

This tool allows you to create a new assembly by selecting one or more parts that belong together.

PreviousAssembly EditingNextAdd to Assembly

Last updated 3 months ago

  1. Select one or more parts

  2. Under Modify, click Assembly and then click Create Assembly

  3. From the dropdown, choose the IFC class of your new assembly

The selected parts will now be part of an assembly of the selected IFC class. If an assembly is part of your selection set, it will be incorporated into the new assembly as a whole.

If a subset of an existing assembly is part of your selection set, its relation with its original assembly will be broken and it will become part of the newly created assembly.
