# Add to Assembly

1. Select one assembly
2. Under *Modify*, click *Assembly* and then click *Add to Assembly*
3. Select one or more parts to add to this assembly, and press Enter

The selected parts will now be added to the existing assembly.&#x20;

If an assembly is part of your selection set, it will be incorporated into the new assembly as a whole.&#x20;

If a subset of an existing assembly is part of your selection set, its relation with its original assembly will be broken and it will become part of the new assembly.
