Use this tool to align objects by selecting coplanar faces.
The Align Objects tool will move and rotate your selection set in one go.
- Under Modify, click Align Objects
- Select the parts you want to move
- Select the source face. This is a face of an object being moved that you want to align with another surface.
- Select the target face. This is a surface that you want to align your selected objects with.
Tip: this tool also works on large selection sets. In a multi-model context you can select and align an entire model with another model, for example to fix models with incorrect coordinates.
