Use the libraries panel to manage and get an overview of your library items in the currently opened model(s).
Open the Libraries panel by clicking the Libraries icon at the top right corner of your screen. Currently supported libraries in this panel are the Codification library and the Location library.
Note: managing the actual content of project libraries can be done in the project dashboard, see Libraries.
Codification library
Use this panel to get an overview of all codified objects in the model and their quantities.
If the codifications panel appears empty, this means either:
- no classification codes have been assigned to any parts in the model. Use the Inspect panel to add new codes to existing parts.
- your current scope does not contain any codified parts. Try resetting the scope by clicking the eye icon in the action center at the bottom right of the screen.
Once the panel contains some classification codes, use the Filter field to easily find what you are looking for or manually collapse, expand and scroll through the different codes and subitems.
Clicking any of the cards will select all parts with that specific classification code. Double clicking the card will also zoom the camera in or our so that the selection is completely within view.
Clicking the Show quantities button will calculate the (combined) quantity of objects with this classification code. Which quantity is calculated will depend on the classification code and classification system.
To remove a classification code, click the rubbish bin icon in the top right corner of the card. This will not remove the actual objects from the model, it will merely remove the link between these objects and this classification code.
Location library
Use this panel to manage and get an overview of all spatial locations in your model.
If there are no locations displayed, this means either:
- There are no locations defined in the project library, or
- You have filtered the locations to only show those used in the model, and there are currently no objects with a location in scope. Try resetting the filter and resetting your scope.
By default, all locations defined in your project will be displayed here. If your current scope contains objects that are related to one or more locations, the number of objects will be displayed as well. Clicking a location will select all objects that are related to that location.
Locations can have a hierarchical relation, for example a site consisting of one or more buildings, which in turn consist of multiple floors. If an object is located on a specific floor, it will also automatically be part of the respective building and site.
In the example above, 38 objects are part of the Site, but are not part of a building within that site. To select these objects, click the ellipsis icon next to Site and click Select exclusively.
The ellipsis icon also gives access to deleting a location, creating a sub-entry, or editing a location.
By editing a location you can change the hierarchical relation with other locations, change the name or add properties to this location.
To create a new location, either click the green Create Location button at the bottom of the panel, or create a sub-entry of an existing location.
