Use this tool to measure quantities of parts in your model.
- Select the part(s) you want to take some measurements from
- Click the Measure icon
- Choose a calculator
- Click Calculate
The result will be displayed, and the measured quantity will be indicated as a blue overlay over the selected parts, to provide visual feedback.
Currently the following calculators are supported:
- Count: the number of parts selected
- Net Area: the area of the selected parts. This works best on 'planar' geometry such as walls, slabs and roofs.
- Gross Area: the area of the selected parts, including the area of the openings.
- Net Volume: the volume of the selected parts.
- Gross Volume: the volume of the selected parts, including openings in the part.
- Length: the length of the selected parts. This works best on 'linear' geometry such as beams, columns or long walls.
