Reports can be created from a model to generate precise quantity takeoffs based on existing classification systems.
Introduction
Qonic allows you to generate reports based on your models. In the current version of Qonic a report is always created based on the classification codes present in your models. That means to generate a report, you need to follow these steps:
- Create a codification library in your project, see Libraries
- Assign the relevant classification codes to the parts in your model using the Inspect panel
- Create a report
Creating a report
To define a new report, open a project in the dashboard and go to the Reports tab at the top of the screen. Here you will find an overview of the current reports in the project. Click the New button at the bottom right corner of the screen to define a new report. If this button is greyed out you may not have the appropriate access rights; contact the project owner to make you a project contributor.
Choose the model you want to create a report of. The report will always be created based on the last published version of that model.
Using reports
Once a report has been created, it can be double-clicked to open. All of the parts in that model with a classification code assigned to them should be listed in this report, along with their quantity. Which quantity is calculated is defined in the classification system, see Codification Libraries. If a classification code has multiple measurement definitions assigned, you can change which quantity to show by clicking the measurement definition. You can also click the unit to change to another unit of that type.
You can at any given moment export your report to a .csv file.
Each time a new version of a model is created (see Model Versions), you will need to create a new report or update the existing report if you want to see these new changes. Update the report by clicking the Update button at the bottom-right of the report. If this button is greyed out, it means that this report is already up to date.
